Take PART (Physically Accessible Recreation Today) is the newest program that provides therapeutic recreation and sport opportunities for Nova Scotian children and youth between the ages of 8 and 18 years.Volunteers are a significant resource to the programs of the Abilities Foundation.The support received from community-minded individuals is invaluable to the operation of the Abilities Foundation, helping us to better meet an ever increasing demand for services.  For details on the program, please visit Take PART Youth Program.

 

 

 Nova Scotia Wheelchair Recycling Program

Abilities Foundation of Nova Scotia, in partnership with the Department of Community Services, has successfully completed three years of the development and implementation of two wheelchair funding demonstration projects, one serving qualifying children to age 18 and the second for qualifying

 

 

 

What is the Access 2 Entertainment Card?

It provides persons with a disability to receive either free admission or a significant discount for their support person at member movie theatres across Canada. How does it Work? Present the Access 2 Entertainment Card when purchasing tickets with your support person at participating movie theatres. Note: The person with a disability pays regular admission. The card has no age restrictions.
