Disability Travel Card Program

This Disability Travel Card™ is intended for people with disabilities who require the assistance of a support person when traveling.

The Card offers its holder discounts to the support person in attendance with them when traveling with participating partners Via Rail, Greyhound bus lines and Coach Canada.

Access 2 Entertainment Card

The Access 2 Entertainment Card provides persons with a disability to receive either free admission or a significant discount for their support person at member movie theatres across Canada.

This program was developed by an advisory group of nine national disability organizations, in conjunction with Famous Players and Cineplex Galaxy.

How does it work?
Present the Access 2 Entertainment Card when purchasing tickets with your support person at participating movie theatres. It is that simple! Note: The person with a disability pays regular admission.

Who can apply?
Persons with a permanent disability, who require a support person when attending a movie, theatre are eligible for the card. There are no age restrictions.
The applicant (or guardian) must agree to follow the terms and conditions for use of the card.

Who is a support person?
A support person is an individual who accompanies a person with a disability to provide those services that are not provided by theatre employees, such as assisting the person with eating, administering medication, communication, and use of the facilities.

 Do not send your form to Easter Seals Nova Scotia's office in Halifax, you must send it to Toronto for processing.

Can I fax or email my application?
Original signatures are required on application forms. Please mail your application form.

When will I get my card?
Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing of your application and delivery of your Access 2 Entertainment card.

How do I renew an expired card or replace a lost one?

The process for replacing You can get a renewal in two different ways, whichever is easiest for you. You can go online to the website and make a payment there:www.access2.ca, which will also give you the ability to update your contact information. This is the fastest option; a card will be mailed out within 3-7 business days of us receiving payment. Alternatively, you can mail in a cheque or money order for the $20 fee made out to Easter Seals Canada along with the Section B of the application form (or simply a note that states your current address, phone number, and email address), and a new card will be mailed within 2-3 weeks of us receiving your request.

I work for an organization where staff takes groups of people with disabilities to the movies and attractions.

Can my organization get a card for staff use?

Cards are only issued to individuals who have a permanent disability, and who require a support person. Access 2 Entertainment does not provide cards for organizations or staff cards. What is the cost? There is a $20 administration fee. However the card is valid for 5 years.

How does one apply?
