Introduction to  Sledge Hockey Sessions – the spring 2012 Sledge Hockey session started on February 4th at the BMO Centre in Bedford and will be held for 10 Saturdays from 10:00am-11:00am.    This pilot program is held in partnership with HRM Recreation.  This is a popular volunteer activity and we are lucky to have all of our spaces filled for this session.  Watch for the September 2012 volunteer newsletter for information about the fall session.

New Leaf – is a workplace training centre for adults with physical disabilities, offers catering services, manages four New Leaf Cafes in our community and provides business mailing services.  We are interested in Physical Therapist or Kinesiology students who would like to come and work with our clients, either developing and implementing an exercise/stretching program, yoga or playing indoor sports games.

Volunteers make up an integral part of Easter Seals Nova Scotia’s operation.  Each year volunteers help with office work, participate in our special fundraising events and assist with various fitness and job skills programs.  If you would like to receive our quarterly volunteer newsletter by email, please fill out the Volunteer Interest form below.
